The brief
Isabel works between the laboratory and the vineyard: pharmacy and microbiology first, then quality control, then a master's in viticulture and oenology in Montpellier and Udine. From Thuir, in the Roussillon, she brings that science to everyone who makes, sells and loves wine. Her site had to speak to estates and wine shops as clearly as to someone booking a tasting, in Catalan, English, French and Italian.
The idea
Look closely, the way she does. The homepage opens on a chromatogram, the round print a drop of soil leaves on filter paper, drawn live; it also reads as a glass seen from above. Yeast drifts under a microscope lens, a glass of vin doux naturel ages from grenat to rancio as you scroll, and the header carries the time, the weather and the Tramontane blowing over Thuir.

Under the hood
Full-stack, front to serverIts own generator
A small static site generator in Python writes all 74 pages, in four languages, from one set of content files.
Drawn in the browser
The chromatogram and the yeast are generated on canvas from a seeded random, so they look the same on every visit.
Live weather over Thuir
The header reads the temperature and the wind from Open-Meteo, and streaks across one section follow the real wind.
Found in four languages
Canonical and hreflang links, Open Graph, structured data for the person and every article, and a share image made for every page in every language.
Private until launch
The whole site sits behind a password page checked on the server; shared links still show their preview.
A storyboard first
Before the build, a brand storyboard for Isabel, to agree on the look together.
